What is 2-Factor Authentication?
2-Factor Authentication is a critical security feature that adds an extra layer of protection to your InComm Benefits account. This guide walks you through enabling and disabling 2-Step Authentication, troubleshooting login issues, and understanding the benefits of using it.
Why does 2FA matter?
2-Factor Authentication enhances your account security by requiring two verification methods to access your account—typically something you know (your password) and something you have (a code sent to your phone or app). This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access, identity theft, and fraud.

How to Enable/Disable 2FA
- Open the InComm Benefits App on your mobile device.
- Log in using your username and password.
- Navigate to Profile, then select Profile Information.
- Tap Set Up next to 2-Step Authentication.
- Tap Enable 2FA.
- Verify your phone number is correct.
- Tap Send Verification Code.
By clicking "Send Verification Code", you agree to receive a one-time SMS from InComm Benefits. Message and data rates may apply.
To disable 2FA
If you need to disable 2-Step Authentication (e.g., switching devices or troubleshooting), follow these steps:
- Log in to the InComm Benefits App.
- Go to Settings > Security > 2-Step Authentication.
- Tap Disable 2-Step Authentication.
- Confirm your identity using your current 2-Step Authentication method.
- 2-Step Authentication will be turned off, and you’ll receive a confirmation.
Warning: Disabling 2-Step Authentication reduces your account’s security. Only disable it if absolutely necessary.
